By default, anyone with a link to your space can enter freely. You can restrict this access to a list of authorized persons.
Click on the icon at the bottom right of the screen to open the Participants pane ➜ click on the blue Invite button ➜ Uncheck Public Access ➜ Click on Add people and assign a role ➜ Paste in the e-mail list of participants who are to have permanent access to the space. You can send them an e-mail notification.

If someone tries to join a restricted area without being on this list of authorized persons, they will be taken to a page where they can "knock on the door". You can then decide whether or not to let them into the space.

You can also use this "waiting room" to control when your participants join the session. A notification alerts you when someone wishes to enter the space. Approve participants one by one or check public access again.
